For a cat family, we seem to make a lot of "dog"' themed projects.
Eric built another delightful dachshund rocker a few weeks ago for some first-time, soon-to-be grandparents in Omaha, Nebraska.
Before shipping the pooch off to it's new home, I took it outside to get some photos in the yard, and our curious cat had to check things out.
I think Eric needs to make a cat rocker next time, don't you?
Eric had a woodworking request for another rocker. This playful pooch is going to be a 1st birthday present for a little boy. Except, the grandmother asked if the dachshund could be a tiny bit taller. Absolutely. It just makes the pup a little "chubbier," but still very adorable.
This rocker is made out of cherry with a natural finish, and is somewhat lighter than the previous one he build in November.
I love how each dog is just a little bit different. Makes them special and one-of-a-kind. As is everything that comes out of Eric's workshop.
****FABULOUS FOLLOW-UP! How cute is this little guy on his new doxie rocker? Ryan celebrated his 1st birthday today, and his mom sent us a lovely "thank you" and this adorable photo. Dang. That just makes me smile. Enjoy, precious boy!
MEOW! Now that's what I call a fun feline. Eric's been carving away on this riding toy for my WSU friend (and fellow cat-lover), Andy. He and his wife just had a baby and I wanted to surprise them with a custom, kitty-cat-on-casters.
It will probably be a year or two before Andy's little girl can take it for a spin around the living room, but I hope it brings her (and her parents) many hours of free-wheelin' fun.
And a million thank you's to Eric, for his hard work and talented hands. It's no wonder I'm always finding projects for him - everything he creates is wonderfulness and brings squeals of joy from me (and others.)
